MGS Survey - Growing Chinese Interest in World Gambling Market.More Chinese gambling operators than ever are showing a growing interest in the global gambling industry, according to the results of a survey recently published by the MGS Entertainment Show. This gambling exhibition ran a survey recently to find out more about the operators who attend one of the fastest growing events on the international gaming calendar, and the results were quite surprising.
The annual indicator shows that over half the mainland Chinese visitors who visit the MGS Entertainment Show - Creativity and Innovation, make this their only gambling exhibition of the year.
In addition, there were 55 international companies represented in the 2015 MGS Expo, and more are expected to showcase their goods and services in the 2016 November event.
The MGS Entertainment Show is organized by the largest trade association in Macau, the Macau Gaming Equipment Manufacturer's Association (MGEMA).
MGS Gambling Analysis
There were several interesting findings in the MGS analysis of the 2015 exhibition. For example, it was found that 74% of visitors from last year's expo were those who held senior positions in the companies they represented, meaning that they had the power to recommend or even approve purchases.
In addition, 85% held leading management posts or were in senior professional management roles.
It was also heartening to learn that an impressive 95% of all visitors from last year would be returning for the 2016 exhibition.
China Has Largest Mass Market of Buyers
The MGS Event Organizer, Elf Hui said that the response from the Chinese visitors was very "telling".
"Mainland China is, without a shadow of a doubt, the largest mass market of buyers in the planet," she said.
Hui called the Chinese visitors' response "very interesting", not just for their specific support for the exhibition, but also for timing of the message.
"It is no coincidence that the Chinese Government's One Belt One Road program of investment around the Asia Pacific region is currently on the agenda and many industrialists are watching this intently," said Hui. "At the same time, in our own home market, the Macau SA Government's plan for economic diversity is also a sign that the trading doors are open between Macau and the rest of the region and the world."
